Early Years and Early Intervention Framework

PAS works to influence policy ay both national and local level. We aim to promote the ideas and opinions of parents and families throughout Scotland, we do this in a number of ways:

Better Health, Better Care

Surveys (click here)
We commission national surveys asking parents and families their views on a range of subjects. Our partners gather information form parents and families through focus groups and small local surveys.

Real Stories
Over the past three years PAS has organised events in the Scottish Parliament where parents, families, young people and politicians have told their 'real stories'. These are some of the things that parents and families have told us:

'We both felt that we had to tell our story as we are not the only family that has problems, its has taken a lot of years to get to where we are now and be able to talk about our difficulties but we thought that sharing our story might make others realise that they are not alone, and that they don't have to put on a brave face and just get on with it'
Parent, Edinburgh

'I was overwhelmed with the difficulties that I faced with my sons behaviour but coming to the event and hearing other parents stories has made me feel that I am not alone in having problems and that asking for help is the first step'
Parent, Edinburgh
